Yangcheng Creative Industry Zone is the successful model of the transformation from old industry to cultural industry which has achieved the dynamic combination of the new and the old;  history and present as well as arts and culture. The remaining old factory buildings provide a unique space for imagination and creation of the arts while the newly designed creative industry zone injects vigor into the old buildings vice versa. The zone, with rich atmosphere of arts, enhances the overall value and grade of the whole creative industry district. It is the only one state-level creative industry zone in Guangzhou up to now.

The zone, located in Huangpu Dadao Zhong in Guangzhou, covers an area of 18 hectare. There are various old factory buildings in this beautiful zone. It boasts the largest green coverage among the six largest creative zones in Guangzhou. A lot of green trees shelter the reconstructed factory buildings in the zone, which makes it a natural scenic spot of eco-landscape.

Animation & Comic Sculpture Square is the most attractive place in the zone, where many creative cartoon figures are made into colorful sculptures, with vivid and dramatic expressions which attracts numerous spectators to take photos. The visitors can also take a ride in the old-fashion red sightseeing bus to get around the zone. This type of small but magnificent bus adds a brush of bright color to the quiet and plain zone.

The zone has successfully held several large-scale cultural creative exhibitions such as Imart, Opel New Car Model Release, Wilsonart Creative Products Release, Architectural Exhibition and the large-scale modern art exhibition-Guangzhou Special Exhibition of Lianzhou International Photo Festival.
