Guangzhou Redtory Art & Living District is a center of art and living with international standard, the first pure creative district in Guangzhou. Redtory, with an area of 160,000 square meters, was reconstructed based on the former Guangzhou Eagle Coin Enterprises Group Corp (Guangdong Cannery). The cannery, with the buildings lining up while the major building stands out featurng the the unique soviet-era architecture style. Its former grandeur can still be seen after decades of neglect. Now, the old buildings, avenues, warehouses and old machines are filled with artistic flavor with the injection of creative culture.

The most attractive feature of the district is its rich artistic culture and public participation. Visitors can walk from the back door into the district conveniently. You will experience a totally different world when you walk inside it. The tall sculptures and old machines of the cannery standing on each side of the road murmur to you with their glorious past history. When your thoughts are still inostalgic of the red revolutionary period, the rich artistic atmosphere will at once bring you back to the modern times.  The Red wine factory, Red House, Stone Gallery and other famous creative areas scatter all around the district and feature unique sense of creativity of their own while integrating into the atmosphere of art of the whole district. With the rich culture and free elements in its creativity, Redtory is a pure art district without any commercial atmosphere comparing to other creative parks. It is the free artistic atmosphere of the district that attracts numerous young people with curiosity and creativity to come and show their talent here.

Various exhibitions were held here in the district such as Guangzhou Contemporary Sculpture Invitation Exhibition, The 1st Danmark Culture Week and Bauhaus Exhibition.
