Hezhizhou (Crane Island) Wetland Park, on a stretch of natural wetland in the eastern bank of the Zengjiang River in the downtown of Zengcheng city, is situated just across the river from the Swan Pagoda and adjacent to the Feng Pagoda. It is the place where cranes have perched on branches from ancient times. In the park, thousands of white cranes either find food or fly into the sky. What a harmonious and grand scenery such activity is!  It was for this reason that the nearby Hezhou villagefirsdt got its name.

With an area of 250 or so mu, the Park has litchi trees in profusion, forming a delightful contrast with the surging Zengjiang River. Beside the embankment which grows mattress-like grasses, there is a stretch of litchi trees, which even if they wither will never fall down, as is reflected in the shallow water under sunlight. With big trunks and strong branches, such tree shows the miracle of ceaseless life and the beauty of natural arts. What an impressive place to see and view nature at its most scenic levels.

Self-drive: Guangzhou-Huan Cheng Expressway-Guangzhou-Shenzhen Expressway-Beierhuan Expressway (at Luogang Passageway)-Guangzhou-Huizhou Expressway (at Xiancun Village Passageway)-Lixin Road-downtown of Zengcheng city-Zengcheng Road-turn right at swan pagoda bridge- and you will arrive at the right destination
