Update: 2024-02-05     Source: Yangcheng Evening News

The 67th Spring Festival Flower Market is held as scheduled.

As spring heralds the renewal of life, the Cultural Park is set to enchant visitors with its annual Spring Festival Flower Market in 2024. Over 80,000 pots filled with 40 types of seasonal flowers will grace the park, along with over 2,000 decorations. The Flower Market will be held from February 7th to 24th, providing free admission to the public for viewing.

Peach blossoms dance, flowing sweet romance.

Originating in the Spring Festival of the year 1957, the Flower Market has become an iconic event alongside the "Mid-Autumn Lantern Festival" and the "Guangzhou Chrysanthemum Market," collectively referred to as the three major exhibitions of Guangzhou that emerged in the 1950s.

Elements of Loong can be seen everywhere.

In the Flower Market this year, the zodiac elements of Chinese Loong are incorporated into the flower displays at the entrances and central and southwest square areas in the Cultural Park.

The giant peach tree is a popular photo spot.

What is the most beloved spot to take photos? It would be the large peach tree directly facing the main entrance of the park, which is 5.5 meters high and 5 meters wide, making it the largest one of its type ever showcased at the Market. On two sides of the entrance, the displays named "Auspicious Gates" constructed from kumquats are novel addition this year, as it is the first time to use kumquats here, which symbolize great luck and prosperity. A large kumquat tree is also included, approximately 3 meters tall, making it the largest one of its kind ever exhibited at the Market.

In addition, the highlights also include two themed orchid exhibitions, presenting precious varieties such as Venus slipper. This kind of orchid attracts visitors as it is unique in shape, vibrant in colors, and long-lasting in the blooming period. At the same time, the nearly 600 orchids are on display outdoors, including rare varieties such as Ascocenda, Vanda, and Kdares Perfume Beauty.

Visitors capture memories with the scenes, spreading joy throughout the sea of flowers.

Furthermore, it is learned that the lantern show of the Lantern Festival will be prepared based on this Flower Market. At the reunion time of the people in Guangzhou, the show ofLantern Festival will brighten the city from February 21st to 24th.
