As the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival approach, Guangzhou Opera House is set to present a diverse lineup of performances and activities, including an immersive comic opera, traditional Chinese music concerts, a creative market, and shows on a floating stage.
Immersive Comic Opera "Le docteur Miracle"
"Le docteur Miracle" will be staged at the Experimental Theatre in Guangzhou Opera House from September 30 to October 3, featuring six immersive performances. This marks the first production in the immersive comic opera series for audiences of all ages, as well as the world's first immersive adaptation of this French one-act comic opera since its creation.

The production blends a children's choir, ballet, multimedia, and environmental art. It also recreates the early rituals of opera-going, inviting audiences to enjoy wine while watching the show. Innovative elements such as "open scripts" are incorporated to deliver a distinctive theatrical experience.
"Roc Chen Universe" Live Concert
The "Roc Chen Universe" concert, led by Roc Chen—Asia's first film composer to surpass 10 billion yuan in box-office credits—together with his live band, will be staged in the Opera Hall from September 30 to October 1. The program features reimagined themes from popular films, including "Ne Zha 2."

Roc Chen will guide the ensemble through iconic works, enhanced with electric band arrangements, video collaborations with international symphony orchestras, interactions with an AI digital human, and cinematic visuals. These efforts aim to create an immersive feast of sound and vision that fuses traditional symphony with cutting-edge technology.
"Living in Love! 2025" Jin Chengzhi and Shanghai Rainbow Chamber Singers (RCS) 2025–2026 Guangzhou Concert

Audiences will hear a wide range of innovative choral works at the concert. The program includes "Life Moments", a new suite by RCS Artistic Director Jin Chengzhi, inspired by fragments of everyday experiences—childhood, hometown, city life, love, family, and personal growth—translated into music.
"The Three Kingdoms of the Three Kingdoms" by 24-Music Band
"The Three Kingdoms of the Three Kingdoms", presented by 24-Music Band, an ensemble that has topped ticketing website concert rankings 18 times, will be staged in the Opera Hall on October 5–6.

Unlike conventional concerts, performers will appear in Han-style costumes, blending traditional instruments such as the sheng, xiao, pipa, and guqin with modern synthesizers, cello, and percussion. The booming battle drums set against the austere guqin create dramatic contrasts of sound and mood.

During the holiday period, Guangzhou Opera House will also partner with the German century-old piano maker Blüthner to host special lakeside events, including performances on a floating stage, a creative market, handicraft workshops, lantern riddles, and prize draws.
