On August 24, "Moonlight Cat–Jin Cheng's 2025 'Tara's Cat' Art Exhibition" opened at Lanpu Park and will run till September 20.

"Tara's Cat" is Jin Cheng's latest creation for 2025. In this series, the protagonist Tara derives her name from the Sanskrit word for "star." Tara owns a flying cat that can not only take her soaring across the galaxy, but also curl up peacefully at her feet.

The exhibition unfolds the artistic universe of "Tara's Cat" through three chapters: "Soft Dreams," "Vast Cosmos," and "Pure Black & White." It features animated sequence sketches, original drafts showcasing initial inspirations and revisions, and paintings exploring themes of life and nature—including cats, birds, whales, and gardens.

Jin Cheng specially created a new piece for stray cats in Lanpu Park: a colored ink painting depicting a mother cat and her kitten affectionately interacting under the moonlight, conveying warmth and comfort.
Exhibition Dates: August 21-September 20
Opening Hours: 8:00 AM-6:00 PM
Location: Lanpu Park, No. 901 Jiefang North Road, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou (廣州市越秀區解放北路901號蘭圃公園)
Note: The exhibition is free, but entry to the park requires 8 yuan.
