From July 1 to August 30, Guangzhou Customs supervised approximately 3.18 million cross-border passengers and 20,000 flights at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, representing increases of 14% and 10%, respectively, compared to the same period last year.
Boosted by the summer holiday travel boom, the airport handled a daily average of over 52,000 passengers during this peak season, an increase of 8% from the pre-summer period. The highest single-day traffic reached 57,000.
Popular short-haul destinations included Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, and Singapore, all within a four-hour flight duration.
