Guangzhou Garden Expo to open to the public
        Update: 2024-01-24     Source: Guangzhou Daily

The 31st Guangzhou Garden Expo will take place from February 4 to 25, coinciding with the Spring Festival holiday, which lasts from February 10 to February 17. This event is a must-see destination for both locals and tourists to admire the stunning flowers, bonsai, and other breathtaking landscapes in the southern metropolis during the holiday.

The expo will showcase more than 100 horticultural works with a focus on violet flowers.

The Garden Expo of this year will have its main venue at Baiyun Mountain, with sub-venues at Guangzhou Children's Park, Lanpu (蘭圃), and Liuhua Lake Park.

The main venue boasts a 2.5-kilometer route from the west gate of Baiyun Mountain to Mingzhu House (明珠樓), featuring flower works themed on Cantonese New Year.

In terms of sub-venues, Lanpu will host exhibitions and activities themed on orchids, while Liuhua Lake Park will showcase over 300 pots of bonsai.

At the flower expo, visitors will have the opportunity to not only admire the beautiful flowers but also purchase them. The Mingzhu House flower fair will offer a selection of special flowers cultivated in Guangzhou, while tulip stalls will be available for those who wish to take home tulips after enjoying over 100,000 tulips on display. Additionally, the expo will boast the first children's flower fair in the nation, which will combine flowers, cultural creative products, and outdoor entertainment, all located at the children's park.

Besides, bamboo culture from six countries — Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Laos and China — will also be featured at the expo, showing six groups of bamboo works in total.
