        Cooperation and innovation shine at 2nd Guangzhou-Hong Kong-Macao Film and TV Industry Development Forum

        On July 28, the 2nd Guangzhou-Hong Kong-Macao Film and TV Industry Development Forum opened in Guangzhou. With the theme "Tides of the Pearl River," the event aims to foster high-quality development in the online audiovisual and film industries with the support of new quality productive forces, and to guide creators in producing stories about China's reform and opening-up.

        New and innovative projects are unveiled

        The opening ceremony featured the signing of major projects, including the establishment of the Southern Center of Beijing Bona Film & Television Co., Ltd., and the Zhou Xingwen Huang Hai · Guangzhou Screenwriter Studio. Additionally, Guangzhou unveiled its plan to build a "Bay Area All-Domain Audiovisual City," showcasing the thriving film and TV industry in the city. The event invited major online audiovisual platforms such as iQIYI, Youku, and Tencent, along with industry experts and practitioners, to share their experiences and explore the path to high-quality development in the audiovisual industry across Guangzhou, Hong Kong, and Macao.

        A special Guangzhou-Hong Kong-Macao Film and TV Investment Exhibition attracted representatives from 37 film and TV institutions from the three regions. They presented high-quality projects such as "Dare to Grow Up," "Into The Mortal World," "Escapee," and "Jin Lian". The exhibition provided an excellent platform for content production organizations to showcase creativity and explore market potential through one-on-one business negotiations with senior selectors and copyright holders.

        Discovering new opportunities for digital audiovisual development

        Guangzhou is committed to shaping its tourism and industry through culture, seizing technological innovation opportunities, and actively building a digital audiovisual industry base to create a new pattern for film and TV industry development. The Bay Area All-Domain Audiovisual City plan was launched at the forum, detailing Guangzhou's commitment to the principle of "content is king," focusing on incubating film and TV masterpieces, optimizing the industrial ecosystem, and creating cultural identifiers. 

        According to an official from the Guangzhou Municipal Culture, Radio, Television, and Tourism Bureau, Guangzhou will leverage its role as the core engine city of the Greater Bay Area, focusing on the entire chain of creation, shooting, production, distribution, transaction, and derivative industries. By gathering film and TV forces from the entire province and coordinating the resources of Hong Kong and Macao, Guangzhou aims to continuously promote the high-quality development of the audiovisual industry cluster with the support of new quality productive forces, building a vibrant new picture of the audiovisual industry and driving innovative development of the cultural industry through digital transformation.
