On July 24th, the first Guangzhou International Expo on New Energy and Digital Technologies for Public Transportation was launched at the Guangzhou Baiyun International Conference Center. During the three-day conference, experts will focus on the theme of "smart transit to empower future innovation" and conduct in-depth discussions on a variety of topics, including the opportunities and challenges of industry development under the new energy public transport situation, advanced new energy technologies, energy transformation, practical experiences, solutions, and new quality productive forces in the public transport field.
Ten international experts who were specially invited also presented professional reports, adding luster to the forum with professional analysis and application cases from multiple perspectives.
The expo features one main forum and seven parallel forums with different themes. At the main forum site, the "Excellent Cases List of New Energy and Digital Technology Innovation and Application Projects of Urban Public Transport" was also released, followed by two signing ceremonies. One was the signing of a strategic agreement between the China Urban Public Transport Association and the International Association of Public Transport, and the other was the signing among the China Urban Public Transport Association, Guangzhou Public Transport Group, and ecological chain enterprises.
The expo also provides an opportunity for the exchange of public transport technology and culture domestically and globally. It has made contributions to promoting innovative practices, advanced technologies, technological transformation, building an eco-friendly and intelligent travel pattern for urban public transport, promoting technological upgrades and international cooperation, accelerating the new energy and digital industry of China's public transport industry development, and creating an important platform for communication between Chinese industrial experts and the world.
As the co-organizer of this expo, Guangzhou Public Transport Group has vigorously innovated and promoted the development of the new energy and digital technology industries in public transport in recent years.
Currently, it has successfully operated the "Ruyue Charging" intelligent management platform with a user group of 400,000. It has also coordinated and operated nearly 400 charging stations and over 8,000 charging piles. In addition, it has built two comprehensive new energy low-carbon demonstration industrial parks with a total construction area of 140,000 square meters. The group has also developed projects such as power battery maintenance and rejuvenation, battery recycling and cascade utilization, and photovoltaic and energy storage, providing a strong charging guarantee for the electrification development of urban transportation.
In terms of intelligent transportation, the group has gradually launched digital professional products in the transportation industry, including "Public Transport Cloud Brain," "Smart Public Transport," "Smart Taxi," "Smart Safety," "Transportation Data Center," and "Smart Public Transport Operating System." It currently has 50 autonomous-driving buses and has opened 10 lines for autonomous-driving buses. As of June 30, 2024, it has accumulated 525,000 departures, served 1.073 million passengers, and traveled 1.742 million kilometers, with the overall operational situation steadily improving.
Guangzhou Public Transport Group is committed to promoting accurate and efficient travel services. It has developed more than 1,700 innovative business routes, served over 115 million passengers, and has an average daily passenger count of over 140,000. It has also developed more than 20 different types of "Bus+" diversified service models, introduced over 40 customizable cultural and tourism routes and study routes, and created over 60 unique buses.
