During the Spring Festival holiday, Liwan District welcomed a total of 3.565 million visitors, representing a significant increase of approximately 73.58% compared to the previous year. Data shows that the district's catering industry generated a turnover of over 280 million RMB, marking a year-on-year increase of about 15%. The turnover of the accommodation industry reached 27 million RMB, with a year-on-year increase of about 50%. The Guangzhou Spring Festival fireworks display, held on the evening of February 10th (the first day of the Lunar New Year) at Bai'etan, ignited excitement among citizens and tourists alike. Seven fireworks barges, each 55 meters long and 12 meters wide, lined up in the middle of Bai'etan, undertaking the task of launching over 130,000 fireworks, including 13,800 aerial shells. The integration of 1,000 drones and a 45-minute dazzling fireworks show attracted over 110,000 spectators on site (with tens of millions watching online).

More than 900,000 citizens and tourists visited the Liwan Flower Market in 2024, boosting the economic activity of the surrounding business districts. Along Liwan Road, there are approximately 190 dining establishments, with feedback from related businesses indicating that foot traffic has doubled compared to regular days, leading to a 60% increase in revenue.

The Guangzhou Cultural Park's 2024 Spring Festival Flower Fair, themed "Vibrant Bay Area, Colorful Guangzhou," featured 40 sets of lanterns combined with garden scenes and various exquisite floral arrangements. A total of 40 themed landscape groups were displayed, along with a wide variety of high-quality flowers and oranges, totaling over 60,000 pots. Additionally, there were more than 2,000 components and ornaments. The fair also hosted 53 cultural events including calligraphy and painting exhibitions, literary performances, New Year couplets writing, and lantern riddles, creating a grand exhibition that immersed visitors in a sea of blooming flowers.

In the Daxiguan (Shangxiajiu-Yongqingfang) commercial district, the average daily foot traffic exceeded 350,000 people. Yongqingfang (including the Cantonese Opera Art Museum) recorded the highest daily foot traffic of 110,000 people during the Spring Festival, marking a 44.5% increase compared to the previous year.
