Recently, the list of Guangzhou's top 20 high-tech companies at high growth and the projects of Tomorrow's Stars are revealed.

According to industry experts' analysis, the industries of listed companies are dominated by software, life sciences, and internet-related services, accounting for a combined 90% of the industry distribution. Based on the disclosed financing information, the majority of the selected companies in the Guangzhou top 20 list and Tomorrow's Stars are in the A-round of financing. Looking at the latest round of financing, the scale of financing for these companies mostly reaches tens of millions, accounting for 72%, while companies with financing in the billions also make up over 20%.

In the list of top 20 companies, 19 belong to Guangzhou's emerging strategic industries. Out of these 19, 11 companies are related to new-generation information technology, 6 are involved in biopharmaceutical and healthcare domains, while one company operates in the intelligent and new energy vehicles sector, and the remaining one deals in the intelligent equipment and robotics sector.

The 2023 Guangzhou high-tech projects in high growth showed exceptional growth rates. Over the past three years, the selected companies have achieved an average revenue growth rate of 365%, with four companies experiencing growth rates exceeding fivefold. Among the chosen companies, those with annual revenues ranging from 50 million to 100 million and from 100 million to 500 million accounted for the majority, both at 35%. In terms of industry distribution, software companies hold the highest proportion of 40%, while life sciences companies follow with 30% and internet and related services companies with 20%. The remaining companies primarily belong to high-end equipment and other fields.

As for the industry distribution of the projects of Tomorrow's Stars, life sciences companies accounted for the highest proportion at 29.4%, closely followed by high-end equipment and clean technology, both at 23.5%.
